I did it! My magnum opus! At least until I make something better in three months.
This was inspired way back in March by the movie Sucker Punch, specifically the sequence "The Trenches." Since my obsession is WWII, I decided to do that instead of WWI. The girls are US Army, Navy, and Air Force personified as pinups. Badass, dangerous pinups busting some major Nazi ass.
I spent two weeks just planning and gathering stock, saving over 65 images before deciding which to use. Blending isn't my strongest point so this was a massive challenge. There were a few times when I considered scrapping the whole thing. Making it look like my concept sketch was near impossible. Then I got a bunch of commissions, and had to shelve this for a month. Not to mention Thor opened, which has consumed all my thought and attention for three weeks. I figured this would sit on my hard drive eternally unfinished.
Last night I finally opened it up again, worked like gangbusters for eight hours, and here you are. I've never worked so hard on a manip. I love the result, it looks just like I imagined. Hope you like it!
Before you say anything, the gun on the left isn't floating. There's a strap around her neck. If you look closely you can see it!
